The Vital Statistics Division is responsible for filing birth and death documents recorded in the City of McAllen and submitting to the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). Additionally, this division tends to the numerous requests for certified copies at its office located on the 1st floor of the Downtown Parking Garage, 221 S. 15th Street. Costs for certified copies are as follows:
Birth Certificates - $23.00
Death Certificates - $21.00
