To register for a City Parking Permit

In person, please bring:


  • A copy of your valid vehicle registration
  • Proof of Long Beach residency 
  • $10 application fee - cash, MasterCard or Visa are accepted

By mail, please include:


  • A downloaded application from our website
  • A copy of your valid registration (If the registration does not have a Long Beach address, include proof of residency)
  • A copy of your current driver’s license
  • $10 application fee - check or money order.  If paying by check, it will be held for 7 business days until the check clears.
  • Send to:

LIRR Commuter Parking Permit:

         Rates: (prorated after October 1st)

                     Long Beach Residents:         $250.00

                     Non- Residents:                     $300.00

LIRR Permit available by visiting http://www.longbeachny.gov/vertical/sites/%7BC3C1054A-3D3A-41B3-8896-814D00B86D2A%7D/uploads/2013_COMMUTER_PARKING_PERMIT.pdf or

     by visiting the City Clerks Office located on the 3rd Floor of City Hall.

Parking permits are valid from July 1st – June 30th.  Permits can be used for any numbered space in the LIRR parking structure or in the designated spaces on J.J. Evans Blvd. 

To Obtain a LIRR Commuter Pass:

    Residents must submit:


  •   A copy of your New York State car registration indicating a Long Beach address .
  •   If vehicle is not registered in Long Beach, please submit a copy of lease or tax bill showing a Long Beach address with name of registrant along with copy of your registration. 
  • If you have a company vehicle, a letter of authority must be included with your application.

Please Note:


  • No Commercial Vehicles.
  • All Fees Are Non-Refundable
  • Permits Will Not Be Replaced If Lost Or Stolen.
  • Parking Structure May Be Closed To Public Parking During Storms/Emergencies
  • Permits are not valid for use in any other municipal lot.

Location of Decals:

     Resident and Employee decals must be displayed on the rear bumper on the Driver side of the vehicle.

     Contractor Vehicle decals must be displayed on ALL vehicles used in conducting your business in the City of Long Beach.

     LIRR Commuter deals must be displayed on rear view mirror.
