Grand Forks Curbside Recycling Program (since 1990)

Containers: 18 gal tote issued by City; Residents can use own containers, max 40 lbs. full

Type: Single Stream Collection - mix recyclables together (since 2003)

Recycling Collection Map and Schedule

Where does it go? To the contractor's Material Recovery Facility in Mpls, MN for sorting/marketing.

Recyables accepted:

Aluminum, Steel, Tin

Plastics #1 - #7 (except styrofoam, plastic grocery bags)

Cardboard (broken down)

Newsprint, Magazines, Office Paper, Junk Mail

Milk Cartons, Juice Boxes

Shredded paper (closed in paper bags)

Glass Bottles/Jars

Items not Accepted:

Styrofoam, Window Glass, Dishware, Lightbulbs, Plastic Grocery Bags
