The City CodeTitle 9, Chapter 4, section 9-4-3-2 states that no more than three (3) dogs can be kept on any premises. Dogs less than four (4) months old are not included in this limit. Also exempt from the three (3) dog limit are commercial uses where occupancy by dogs is customary (such as, but not limited to, kennels, pet shops and veterinarians).

Dangerous dogs are limited to one (1) per lot. Exempted from this limitation are veterinarians, but only to the extent necessary to render care or treatment.

City CodeTitle 9, Chapter 4, section 9-4-5 also states that certain animals are prohibited in any number. Prohibited animals are horses, mules, swine, sheep, goats, cattle, poultry (with the exception of hens as herein provided), skunks and/or poisonous reptiles. No fewer than two (2) and no more than six (6) hens may be kept on any premises.
