Evanston IL:How do I get my alley paved?

The City offers residents a cost sharing "50/50 Alley Paving Program." The City and residents share the cost of the alley paving project. The residents adjacent to the alley need to circulate a petition and get 51% of the property owners to sign the petition. The City will prepare for you a petition and a cost estimate to pave the alley. Please contact 3-1-1 to have an "Alleys- Reconstruction" request submitted to begin the process.
Please note: In 2019, staff will be recommending a change to this program where the City pays 25% and the property owners pay 75%.
