Evanston IL:Do I need a permit for a fence?

Yes. To obtain a fence permit complete and sign a Building Permit Application and a Fence Worksheet. You will also need three (3) copies of a current plat of survey, each marked with the location of the proposed fence. Submit these documents to the Building Office on the 3rd floor of the Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Avenue.
