Your annual special assessment for Stormwater is included on your property tax bill for the period commencing October 2013 through September 30, 2014. This is designated on your Trim Notice Proposed Property Taxes and Non-Valorem Assessments as the City of Miami Gardens Stormwater District. This user fee has been paid in the past in your Utility bill. Beginning October 2013, the Stormwater User Fee will no longer appear in your utility bill. The purpose for the change is to save on billing charges through the utility bills. This will be an approximate savings of $90,000 per year.

Since utility billings are based on cycle and are billed in arrears, your water and sewer bill in October may still reflect Stormwater charges, but those were for services performed prior to October 1, 2013.

If you have any questions, you may visit the City’s web site at www.miamigardens-fl.gov or contact the Public Works Department at (305) 622-8004.
