The McAllen Police Department’s Animal Control serves the citizens of McAllen by picking up stray dogs, cats and possums that wander into neighborhoods. If you would like to report a stray or dead animal, please call Animal Control at (956) 681-2124.

City Ordinances allow citizens to keep up to six live poultry including chickens, ducks, turkeys, etc… All poultry must have a pen in which to live.
