Bradenton is recognized as a Tree City U.S.A, which means it is dedicated to the preservation and planting of trees. The City has won Growth Awards from the National Arbor Day Foundation in 1997, 2000, 2002 and 2004.

According to the National Arbor Day Foundation, the Tree City USA Growth Award is provided by Foundation, in cooperation with the National Association of State Foresters and the USDA Forest Service, to recognize environmental improvement and encourage higher levels of tree care throughout America. The Foundation designed the award not only to recognize achievement, but also to communicate new ideas and help the leaders of all Tree City USAs plan for improving community tree care.

Below are several sites and other information related to tree and land preservation. This is a new section and more information is coming soon.
